• How long does it take?

    James,

I definitely want to learn something versus memorizing it.

Nowadays, many hams have no idea how to set up their radios,
although it doesn't help when the documentation itself sucks. :P

When I first got into the hobby 35 years ago, it was so easy
to set up the Icom 2GAT 2 meter HT (long since obsolete), with
the frequencies, sub-audible tones, etc. Now, if you don't have
the programming cable and software (i.e. "Chirp"), you'll never
    get the rig set up.

    Thank you.

    You're more than welcome.

    73 (best wishes),

    Daryl, N5VLZ

That's great, but you saying that doesn't make hamstudy.org
only for memorization. It explains all the questions and
answers. Being so dismissive, I kinda doubt you've ever looked
    at it.

I just liked how HamTestOnline was set up.

Of course, there are other methods out there, but I've also seen
where some of these "study methods" don't update the question set"
in a timely manner...whether for having the "deleted questions" still
in their material, or they have an outdated question pool (they change
    every 4 years).
